Creating a hard-hitting educational narrative to deliver a senstive message (A Studio Orange Perth Video Production)
Description
As a long-standing creative partner for Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS), we were entrusted to produce a series of educational videos addressing sensitive health topics for young people. For the critical issue of volatile substance use, we collaborated closely with PAMS to create a piece that would resonate deeply and deliver a powerful, unambiguous message.
Our approach was to tell a hard-hitting narrative following a young girl who ends up in a coma from substance use. Through her reflective inner monologue, she voices the regret of not listening to advice and seeking help, creating a profound and cautionary tale. By focusing on the real-life consequences through a personal story, we produced an unflinching educational tool designed to connect with youth on a visceral level and encourage them to make safer choices.
