PAMS: Creating Hard-Hitting Educational Videos

As a long-standing creative partner for Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS), we were entrusted to produce a series of educational videos addressing sensitive health topics for young people, in the spirit of educational explainer videos. For the critical issue of volatile substance use, we collaborated closely with PAMS to create a piece that would resonate deeply and deliver a powerful, unambiguous message.

Our approach was to tell a hard-hitting narrative following a young girl who ends up in a coma from substance use. Through her reflective inner monologue, she voices the regret of not listening to advice and seeking help, creating a profound and cautionary tale. By focusing on the real-life consequences through a personal story, we produced an unflinching educational tool designed to connect with youth on a visceral level and encourage them to make safer choices.
