A series of 34 short social clips for Source Certain
One shoot, a content pipeline.
Description
We filmed Source Certain’s Cameron Scadding (Founder and CTO) and Rachel Scadding (co-founder and COO) in our Perth studio for one day and delivered 34 short videos for their content pipeline.
Client and challenge
Source Certain is a Perth-based science company that verifies where products come from. It uses trace element and stable isotope ratio analysis on food, timber, minerals and more. We have worked with them since 2021, starting with the animated explainer of their science.
Their topics are technical: timber regulations such as the EUDR and the Lacey Act, modern slavery, seafood and cocoa provenance, and how isotope testing compares with DNA. Source Certain wanted short videos with their own experts on camera, ready to drop into their content pipeline, without a separate production for every post.
What we made
- One studio day. We filmed Cameron and Rachel in the studio. The setup used a teleprompter, two backdrops (purple seamless and black) for variety, and framing for vertical and 4:5 social feeds.
- Scripts. Written for both presenters, covering timber, seafood, prawns, oysters, cocoa, soy, Bravo apples, gold, modern slavery, ESG data and the science itself.
- 34 edited videos. Short clips with burnt-in captions and an opening hook. The edits were in Drive two weeks after the shoot. The four published so far run 27 to 33 seconds each.
- Thumbnails. Two thumbnail sets for each presenter.
- Explainer update. In the same period we updated their animated explainer with new headings and a US voiceover version, now on Source Certain’s YouTube channel (November 2025).
How it works as ongoing content
- One day of filming gave Source Certain a library of ready-to-post videos instead of a single film.
- They release the clips on their own LinkedIn page, on their own schedule. The four posts we checked went out on 9 December 2025, 12 January 2026, 4 February 2026 and 30 March 2026.
- Each topic lines up with one of their markets (timber, seafood, horticulture, agriculture, gold, ESG), so a clip can go to the audience it suits.
- Two presenters and two backdrops keep the feed varied, even though everything was filmed on one day.
Outcome
- 34 finished videos and four thumbnail sets from one studio day.
- Source Certain began publishing them on LinkedIn in December 2025.
